Your regular dentist pulls the easy ones but sends anything impacted or surgical to an oral surgeon you have never met, and that surgeon removes it and sends you back for whatever comes next. Slobodian Dental works differently. Dr. Andrii Slobodian trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery before he trained in restorative dentistry, so the harder cases (an impacted wisdom tooth, a broken molar, a tooth too damaged to save) are handled here, by the same doctor you already know. And because he also places and restores implants, the conversation does not stop at removing the tooth. If that tooth needs replacing, the plan for what goes in its place is made the same day, by the same person, in the same room. Because we are out of network, we answer to your case and not to an insurance company's clock, so you get the time it needs and a plan explained in plain language, with the price before we begin. Frequently asked questions
Does an extraction hurt?
You will feel pressure, not pain. We numb the area completely and wait until you feel nothing sharp before we begin, and we explain each step as we go. If you are anxious, laughing gas or a calming pill can take the edge off. Most patients tell us it was easier than they expected.
What kind of sedation do you offer?
Local anesthetic so you are fully numb, laughing gas, or an oral calming pill taken beforehand. We do not offer IV sedation or general anesthesia, and we will never pretend a procedure puts you to sleep. If your case truly needs deep sedation, we will tell you honestly and help you find an oral surgeon who provides it.
Can you remove a difficult or impacted tooth here?
Yes. Dr. Slobodian trained in oral surgery, so impacted teeth, broken molars, and surgical removals are done here, not referred to a separate surgeon.
Do I really need my wisdom teeth out?
Not always. Sometimes the honest answer is to watch and wait. We will show you the 3D scan, tell you what we actually see, and only recommend removal when there is a real reason, like impaction, infection, or crowding.
Can you remove the tooth and place the implant?
In many cases, yes, the same doctor, and often the same day. Even when we cannot place it immediately, we protect the bone so the implant stays a simple procedure later, not a bigger one.
Can you see me the same day for a broken or painful tooth?
During office hours, we keep room for same-day help to get you out of pain. If we are closed, leave a message or text and we call you back first thing.
How much does an extraction cost without insurance?
A simple extraction starts at [PRICE simple extraction], and surgical or wisdom teeth are priced by type. We give you the number, with what is included, before we begin. Financing is available through CareCredit and Cherry, and we provide a superbill for partial PPO reimbursement.
What is dry socket, and how do you lower the risk?
Dry socket is when the healing clot is lost too early, and it is a common worry. We remove teeth gently, give you clear aftercare, and tell you exactly what to avoid in the first few days. Call us any time if something does not feel right.
Do you speak Ukrainian or Russian?
Yes. Dr. Slobodian speaks English, Ukrainian, and Russian, and understands the Eastern European dental history many patients bring with them.
